About Catnic.
Catnic, part of Tata Steel, manufactures steel construction products from lintels through to standing-seam roofing and wall cladding, plaster beads and mesh, and builders' metalwork such as joist hangers and restraint straps. Founded in 1969 by Dr Alfred Gooding and Brian Robinson, the company states it worked with the BSI to help establish UK lintel standards and now offers over 10,000 lintel variations for cavity, solid, timber frame and special applications. Its Urban range covers standing-seam roofing and cladding, including the SolarSeam and Urban Seam façade products. The company states its steel is 100% recyclable and that it holds BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing certification.
